The festival „I play, I sing, I dance“ brings together hundreds of lovers of Bulgarian folklore in the village of Banya.
The Razlog village of Banya will welcome participants from all over Bulgaria for the fifth edition of the folklore festival „I play, I sing, I dance“.
Hundreds of lovers and performers of Bulgarian folklore meet in Banya, where they will present the richness, diversity and variety of Bulgarian folklore on one stage.
On August 27 (Saturday) from 4:00 p.m., on the stage of the Old Bulgarian (Roman) Bath, songs will be played, long people will be winding, and customs from different parts of the country will be recreated.
Teams will compete in several categories, and a competent jury will award the winners.
The festival will begin with a parade of the participants from the „Prosveta-1908“ Chitalishte to the Old Bulgarian Bath and will end with a Gala evening, at which the winning teams will be awarded.
This year the festival will be of a competitive nature, and a jury of professionals in the field of music and dance will evaluate the performances and award the best ones.
The resort village of Banya will be heralded by the sounds of Bulgarian folk songs and rocked by traditional Bulgarian folk songs and dances.
Young and old will play, sing and play in Banya – one of the most beautiful villages in the Razlog valley.
The organizers of the folklore event are the Banya Village Municipality and the „Prosveta-1908“ Primary School.
