The Varna Summer International Jazz Festival was founded in 1992 and is held annually with the participation of world-famous musicians from abroad and Bulgaria. In addition to mixed international projects, the festival program also includes a stage of young jazz musicians from Bulgaria.
The 4-day anniversary edition starts on July 29 and will present elite musicians from Europe and the United States in the English courtyard of the Archaeological Museum in Varna. The starting time of each festival night is 20:00.
The festival is organized by the Municipality of Varna and the Varna Jazz Society with the financial support of the Culture Fund of the Municipality of Varna.
For the anniversary, the father of the festival, recognized in Europe and the world saxophonist and composer Anatoly Vapirov, has prepared a 4-day program with 8 concerts, in which along with popular Bulgarian jazzmen on stage in the courtyard of the Archaeological Museum in Varna will be remarkable guests from abroad.
