After the successful festivals in Yambol in 2015, Kazanlak in 2016, Pazardjik in 2017 and in Rousse in 2018, we look forward at the fifth geographic festival in Bulgaria. On 20 and 21 April 2019 Stara Zagora will be the geographical capital of Bulgaria for this year. There will be held the Bulgarian Geographical Festival. The city of linden trees, poets and streets will host the geographic feast and will be the fifth city to host the largest geographic event in Bulgaria.
What will happen at the Festival? There will be interactive and practical competitions for students in a unique Bulgarian binging format, geographic student boxing (interactive team competition), panel session of Geography and Traveler presentations, geographic exhibitions and expositions. At the same time, activities for the professional qualification of teachers, organization of thematic stands with geographic books, atlases, souvenirs and literature, presentation of the educational opportunities for higher education in the field of Earth sciences are envisaged. During the festival, winners will be announced in national competitions for students, teachers, students and geographers. Many thematic geographic surprises and fun moments are also planned.
