The village of Banat Bulgarians – Bardarski geran celebrates Farshangi. This is a carnival preceding the Easter fast and is celebrated with carnivals throughout the Catholic world. The inhabitants of Bardarski geran are descendants of Banat Bulgarians, who have returned in the end of the 19th and the first half of the 20th century in their old homeland. The holiday is an inheritance of centuries-old traditions, with which evil forces are expelled and symbolic cleansing and Easter anticipation begins.
There will be presented Banat specialties like banitsa, smoked bacon, fish, etc.
