Feast of the gods of wine, Ilindentsi village

On the first Saturday of February, under the beautiful snow and marble peaks of Pirin – in the village of Ilindentsi is held the Feast of the Gods of Wine, which uniquely combines tradition and history, legends with a thousand-year statute of limitation, but also with the adoration of the gifts on earth .
Usually guests from the Bulgaria and abroad are greeted with a warm loaf of bread and a sip of the divine local elixir. There is a solemn feast for a rich harvest. T
The deities fulfill the Thracian ritual “Rosalie”, preserved over 4,000 years ago. The basis of the ritual is wine and fire, and their purifying power. The big and high flame is a fruitful year for the Ilindenci wineries and the municipality.
