The Medieval Tarnovgrad Festival is held for the fifth consecutive year and has the task, through the historical reconstruction of the countryside,
The festival will offer visitors a unique and exciting experience – historical reconstruction of the life, cuisine, crafts, arts and war skills of the 12th-14th centuries – the time of the Asenevci dynasty. The spirit and atmosphere of the Middle Ages will recreate groups from Colonel, Rhineland, Russia, Ucpaina, as well as from all over Bulgaria.
During the festival, residents and guests of Veliko Turnovo will be able to taste the food of medieval people from Byzantium, the Orient and Western Europe. Within the attractive event, food will be prepared for participants only by authentic medieval recipes.
The entrance to the festival is with regular tickets for Architectural and Museum Reserve “Tsarevets”.
