Primorsko International Youth Folklore Festival is a traditional forum that gathers hundreds of young folklorists from all over the world. The festival is included in the local cultural program and in the cultural calendar of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Bulgaria. It is carried out with the courtesy of the mayor of the muni cipality. Numerous foreign participants, a varied program, an opport unity for active sea recreation and interesting excursions are the prerequisites that have established the Festival as a favorite destination of thousands of folklorists from over 30 countries.
The festival is organized by Europe Foundation chaired by the doyen of Bulgarian Choreography Mr. Ivan Todorov. The festival period is from June 16th to June 30th, and the event is divided into two parts of seven days each. A lot of music, dancing and joy accompanies every edition of International Youth Folklore Festival. Over the years, the festival has overtaken its role as a traditional cultural event and has become a symbol of friendship and creative spirit. This way the number of its participants has increased many times since its first edition in 2003.
