The traditional festival of pepper, tomato, traditional foods and crafts – Kurtovo Konare Fest will be held in early September. The festival is held every year on the second weekend of September, when there is a great abundance of tomatoes, peppers and lutenica. At the festival, awards are given for the largest tomato, the greatest pepper, the most beautiful doll made of vegetables, the most delicious home canned vegetables, the most delicious traditional dishes in different categories – meat, minced meat or pasta. The new contest is “Granny’s Groom” – the oldest and most interesting colander, which our grandmothers have used.
The event has been held since 2009 and has become one of the most popular festivals in the country over the years. Part of the festival program are educational programs, lectures, planers, bazaars, culinary activities, lots of music / jazz, rock, blues, ethno, folklore and etc.
