For the fourth year in the end of June the Folklore Fair Ledenika is held in the Vratsa Balkan. The event gathers thousands of lovers of Bulgarian traditions and customs and is organized by the Municipality of Vratsa.
The aim of the festival is to preserve the millennial traditions of the Bulgarian people, while preserving the cultural values. Participation in the program are groups and performers for authentic and processed folklore from different ethnographic regions of Bulgaria. The culmination of the concert will be the recreation of an authentic Northwestern wedding, and it is advisable for the participants in the folk fair “Ledenika” to be dressed in folk costumes or clothing with elements of the Bulgarian embroidery.
