The National Folklore Festival “Shopski Naniz” is an event aiming the popularizing and preserving of Bulgarian folklore, folklore traditions and customs, as well as promoting the study of folklore from the Shopsko folklore area. The eighth edition of the festival will take place in Kostinbrod.
Individual performers and amateur ensembles featuring authentic and processed singing or dancing can participate. The festival is of a competitive nature and the participants will be divided into 2 age groups – up to and over 14 years and 4 sections:
I. SONG FOLKLORE
II. DANCE FOLKLORE
III. FOLKLORE ASSEMBLIES
IV. VERBAL FOLKLORE
