Ratha Yatra Sofia 2017

Ratha Yatra is a festival of love and spiritual happiness! With roots in mystical India, today’s colorful celebration delights people all over the world because it sends out universal messages of peace, harmony and equality. In Sofia we will enjoy its 22nd edition!
On the Summer Stage in Borisova Garden will be present ancient traditions, authentic arts and lots of entertainment for you and your family. Free entrance!

11:00-15:00 This year’s program will start early to have enough time for Creativity and learning: yoga classes and Indian dances, henna workshops, painting, application, writing Sanskrit, sari dressing and other entertainments for children and adults.

15:00 – 17:30 The heart of the festival is the Colorful procession with the Chariot of Lord Jagannatha. In the accompaniment of music and many dances, the beautiful parade will illuminate the Sunday afternoon on September 17, passing through the scenic alleys of Borisova Garden.

17:30 – 21:00 We will end up the evening with a unique Cultural program that will bring together artists from different genres – traditional Indian dances and modern ballet, mantra rock, kirtan, yoga demonstration and fire show.
