Todorovden is one of the bulgarian spring feasts related to the health of the horses. On this day, horseracing is organized – the so-called “Kushia”. Every year on the holiday in Zlatograd are organized games and racing with horses. The feast is always celebrated on the first Saturday of Easter fasts. It is also known by the names Tudorica and Easter Horse. According to popular beliefs on that day, the saint wore nine cloaks and went to God to ask for the summer. In iconography he is presented as a rider of a white horse and a monster.
The festival will not go without folk songs and dances, grill and wine outdoors.
