From February 14 to 16 this year again the most beautiful wine festival “Trifon Zarezan” gathers winegrowers, winemakers, wine lovers, connoisseurs, tourists, guests and friends for celebrations and wine tastings. During the three days RUPEL Winery will be open for visits and tastings. You will have the opportunity to stroll through the winery, discover the wine production process, see the vineyards in person and taste high quality Bulgarian wine. In our winery you will be welcomed by a welcoming team, and the wines in the shop to the winery will be offered at attractive prices! Admission is free!

PROGRAM OF THE EVENT:

February 14 (Friday)

From 10am to 4pm the winery will be open for free visits and tastings, including new harvests. Tastings will also be offered in the vineyard château!

February 15 (Saturday)

From 10am to 4pm the winery will be open for free visits and tastings, including new harvests. Tastings will also be offered in the vineyard château!

11.00 am Waterwell for health and prosperity in honor of St. Trifon. Authentic ritual for pruning vines.

11.30 am – 2 pm Festive program, a drink with wine, a place to buy drinks, barbecue and food from local producers. Culinary exhibition of masterfully prepared home-made bites, pies and other specialties of competitive nature. Each participant in the exhibition will receive a bottle of wine and the three major prizes will be announced. Those wishing to experience the delicious temptations of the exhibition will be able to do so against a purchased coupon, and the proceeds raised from the culinary exhibition will be donated to the small Nicole of Sandanski who is in need of a life-saving operation. To lend a hand!

During the festive program you will enjoy the Rusalian dances performed by the Rusalii association, Petrich, zealous guardians of the tradition. The young boys will be able to learn the first steps of the dance moves, touch the drum and “zurna”, and dedicate themselves to some of the secrets of Rusalii.

The beautiful girls and boys of the Folklore Formation “Macedonians” in the village of Kulata will perform traditional for the area dances and dance compositions.

We end the program with the captivating voices of the growing up sisters and rising stars of the southwest – singers Katerina and Zornitsa Stoyanovi.

2.30pm – Professional vertical tasting of five vintage white wine of the Tamianka variety, produced by Rupel Winery. Lecturer and presenter Ekaterina Petrova. Location – Chateau among the vineyards. Admission is free! Seats are limited, pre-booking 0887612578, rupelwinery@gmail.com

The event is part of a three-day series entitled “Days of Open Doors in Melnik”. Together with other wineries in the area, we recommend that you dress comfortably and head to the hills, discovering the magical world of Bulgarian wine. Wineries and vineyards will open their doors for you!
