The fifth regional fair will be held in the Bradvari village of Silistra, dedicated to the spring holiday of Nevruz, where the people send the winter away and welcome the spring, with performance of specific songs and dances. They also represent the ritual dance “Shemah”, where men and women dance side by side, and traditionally, a kurban is given to all attendees.
In 2009, UNESCO included Nevruz on the representative list of the world’s intangible cultural heritage.
