VII Festival "Days of Thracian Culture"

For the seventh year, the festival “Days of Thracian Culture” is held, covering the Music and Words, presented by an international scientific conference, concerts, theater productions, exhibitions, screenings of documentaries and demonstrations. The project is part of the cultural events dedicated to 2018 – the European Year of Cultural Heritage and is supported by Plovdiv Municipality in support of Plovdiv – European Capital of Culture 2019.
Plovdiv, as the geographical center of Thrace, has been and is the center of Thracian culture and has the historical mission of preserving, exploring and presenting the material and intangible heritage of the Thracians. The oldest lively European city, naturally acquainted with each other, unites and presents the Balkan Diaspora and emphasizes our common cultural roots, traditions and rituals.
The International Festival “Days of Thracian Culture” is part of the Calendar of Cultural Events of Plovdiv Municipality. Its realization contributes to a more detailed presentation of the Thracian heritage and related cultures, creates and strengthens bridges for future joint scientific and cultural activities.
