The International Folklore Festival aims to preserve and enhance the folklore art (song, dance, music, ritual, etc.) in the contemporary way of life. It allows amateur teams to express themselves, gain recognition for their work, preserve and promote the songs, dances and rituals of their settlements and regions. Amateur teams and individual performers can participate in the holiday without age restrictions.
The festival is held under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Bulgaria.
The holiday is not of a competitive nature. All participants are awarded certificates and souvenirs by the organizers.
Program of the holiday
16.00 – Opening
16.15 – Start of presentation of teams – defile
16.30 – folklore appearances of the participants
22.00 – Closing of the feast and concert.
