The main idea of this festival is to make more popular the Bulgarian traditions, saved from the local ethnic group “Kapantzi”. It is believed that they are the oldest Bulgarian family. They saved the oldest recipe for yogurt also known as Kapanski Yogurt.
Nowadays, the yogurt is made by an ancient family recipe. It the past year, the Kapan people chose their spouses according to her abilities of making yogurt.
